Artist: Nakashima, Tom

Tom Nakashima studied at the University of Notre Dame, receiving his MA and MFA from the school. He is a painter and printmaker who, throughout his career, has earned many prestigious fellowships and awards such as the Mid Atlantic/National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and the Joan Mitchell award. Nakashima has been published internationally including in Art in America and New American Paintings. His works draw from both Eastern and Western traditions to explore the power of natural forms.
