Artist: Tacha, Athena

Tacha is both an artist and an art curator, who in the past several decades has focused on public commissions in urban environments. Tacha designed the Matthias Baldwin Park, located between 18th and 19th streets at Hamilton Street in Philadelphia (1981–1992). The two-acre park installation terraces house various perennial flowers while rock towers break up the landscape and seem to fall into place with the city skyline in the distance.
