Artist: Anatsui, El

El Anatsui is a Ghanaian sculptor whose work breaks the standards of the medium. He uses discarded resources to create complex artworks. His works are abstract and pull from local aesthetic traditions. His sculptures deal with concepts of identity, global consumerism, and transformation. Anatsui is well known for his “bottle-top” installations.
