Artist: Arrechea, Alexandre

After leaving the artist collective Los Carpinteros, Alexandre Arrechea started to create works addressing political issues and reflecting contemporary cultural ideas. While creating the No Limit Series, Arrechea composed bold representations of the destabilizing characteristic of sky scrapers such as the Chrysler Building, Citicorp Center, Empire State Building, Flatiron building, Helmsley Building, MetLife Building, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower, Seagram Building, Sherry Netherland, and US Courthouse. The works show the interdisciplinary ability of the artist to create beautiful investigations of space across 2D and 3D media..
